How can I use my old OpenFeint account?

If you've enabled account retrieval on your OpenFeint account on your old device you can enter in the email and password you provided during that process.

How do you enable account retrieval?

Launch the OpenFeint stand-alone application on your old iPhone or iPod Touch
Click on the icon in the middle that looks like a person
Edit Profile tab and then complete the “Enable Account Retrieval” process.

You can then use the same credentials to log into your OpenFeint account on your new iPad!

I keep getting a warning that my email account doesn’t exist.

It’s likely that you never secured your OpenFeint account with an email address. How to check:

Launch an OpenFeint-enabled game on your old iPhone or iPod Touch
Click on the Edit Profile tab. If “Change Your Email” isn’t listed, you have not secured your account.
Click on “Enable Account Retrieval” and go through that process to secure your OpenFeint account.

How do I find my device identifier?

Need to find your device identifier? Here's how:

Connect the device to your Mac or PC.
On the "Summary" tab in iTunes, click the "Serial Number" label. You'll notice "Serial Number" changes to "Identifier".
Click on "Edit" in the menu at the top and select "Copy".
Now you can paste the device ID into a reply.

Note that this is a 40-character (letters and numbers) string and NOT your device's serial number.

I no longer have my old device and would like to recover my OpenFeint account.

I have an Aurora Feint account but it doesn’t seem to work.

Older versions of Aurora Feint use a separate authentication process, for Aurora Feint 3 you should either use your OpenFeint account or create a new OpenFeint account if you don’t already have one.
